We celebrated a local hero on Culture Night in Athy, with the Unveiling of a mural by artist Eloise Gillow dedicated to mark the Centenary of the death of Ernest Shackleton and the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Norwegian polar explorer Roald Amundsen, the mural was unveiled by the Norwegian Ambassador Mari Skare on the night.
